Aloe vera help for Constipation
Instructions for using Aloe Vera as a laxative
Taken internally, the pure sap of the bark (with or without the pulp) is not a recommended laxative. Those who have tried it have seen its powerful laxative effects, but have also suffered from violent gastrointestinal disorders, sometimes for several days. On the other hand, if this sap is diluted in a large amount of water and taken once in a while, there should be no problem.
Remember that this sap is the yellowish liquid that flows when you cut a leaf. If you want a good quantity, place the cut leaf in a container, taking care to tilt the leaf to better allow the sap to drain. Some people simply place pieces of bark in a container filled with water and store them in the refrigerator.
